Oxjam Unwrapped - 29 November 2008

Oxjam Unwrapped took place this evening at the new venue of The Wheatsheaf in Sandbach.  Big thanks to Dave the landlord for stepping in at the last minute.

Despite the slightly late start there followed performances by Tina Newbury, Jonathan Tarplee, and a couple of sets by Dayve Dean, Dan Logan and band (Steve and Carl).  Sadly, Prad was unable to perform due to illness.

The event raised money for Oxfam so thank you to everyone for taking part and coming along to support.  If you haven't donated and still want to, all donations are still very welcome.  Either follow the links at oxjam.dayve.co.uk (Justgiving or PayPal) or donate to any Oxfam shop, quoting Oxjam.

Photos of the event should be appearing on this site very soon.

In the words of John and Yoko, "A very merry Christmas and a happy new year"!

Happy Xmas (War is Over)

Here's a preview of one of the songs we'll be performing at Oxjam Unwrapped to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. A cover of John and Yoko's Happy Xmas (War is Over).

This is taken from our first rehearsal of it so contains the odd mistake here and there (just so we sound better on the night!)

Can't wait for it, hoping it's gonna be a great night with good music, fun games and loads of money raised for Oxfam.

You can access them at:

Alternatively, they are available in lower quality jpeg format at a lower file size - around 500kb each.  These are at:

If you're able to display them or give them out anywhere, please feel free!  It would also be great to see them floating around Facebook, Bebo, MySpace and the like.
